Chicago
Lighthouse Industries is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which
employs over 40 people who are blind or visually impaired to manufacture
quality clocks, as well as other products. Industries began in 1906
as an industrial training and employment program of The Chicago Lighthouse
for People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired. Today, its business has
expanded into a broad range of markets, including architects and interior
designers, corporate buyers, office supply distributors, and government
buyers.
The unique
styles and high quality control measures surrounding its products has
positioned Chicago Lighthouse Industries as a strong competitor in the
wall clock market. Chicago Lighthouse Industries began producing clocks
in 1977 when it received its first contract with the federal government,
and has since grown to celebrate its 3 millionth clock on January 28,
2000.
From its
personal 6" workstation clocks to its executive hardwood series to its
unique 18" and 24" oversized interior clocks, Chicago Lighthouse Industries
has extended its product line to meet the diverse needs of its customers.
Styles can meet personal or company flare by mixing and matching frame
colors or finishes, dial face designs, and even brand the clock with
a corporate logo! All clocks leaving Chicago Lighthouse Industries'
docks have been tested in three phases resulting in accuracy to 0.33
seconds per day.
