Commentary: Inclusive Sports

A common misconception is that people with disabilities cannot participate in recreational activities or sports. As the following article shows, people with all types of disabilities can do and benefit from exercises such as yoga.

Jason Maclean hopes to create more awareness and understanding through his Inclusive Yoga courses. Recent studies have shown that people with disabilities, including those who are blind or visually impaired, often do not partake in physical exercise. That is why it’s important to create more programs like the one highlighted in this story.
